“Hardships often prepare ordinary people for an extraordinary destiny.”
This quote is said to be by C.S. Lewis. However, it’s from a 2010 movie adaptation of his novel, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
The quote is not only appropriate in the scene it appears in within this fictional film but also in real life.
Some of the most notable people, past and present, have gone through hardships at some point and of some kind. Arguably, their notability didn’t happen in spite of their hardships. Rather, their hardships prepared them for their notable deeds.
So next time you learn about the hardships of those with notable deeds, consider your own hardships and how they’re preparing you in the same way.
