“He who believes is strong, he who doubts is weak. Strong convictions precede great actions.”
When you believe something is possible, you tend to give it your all. And when you give something your all, you’re more likely to succeed than when you give your half-hearted effort.
This quote, by theologian James Freeman Clarke, is about how lack of belief influences the force of our actions. Moreover, lack of belief not only makes us give a weaker effort, it can also make us feel weak.
So when you feel weak and disempowered, it’s time to evaluate where you stand in your believe. Perhaps it’s a lack of belief (i.e. doubt) that’s fueling a sense of weakness. It may also be the thing influencing the strength of your actions.
