“Being happy doesn’t mean everything is perfect. It means you’ve decided to look beyond the imperfections.”
This quote, by Gerard Way, is about making the decision to not obsess over perfection. Especially to the point that it negatively impacts our happiness. Basically, don’t sweat the small stuff and find yourself always miserable. It’s actually possible to be happy without everything being perfect. In fact, perfection in everything is not only rare but fleeting. The sooner we accept that everything doesn’t have to be perfect and learn to look beyond imperfections, the happier we will be. Besides, sometimes there is something beautiful and miraculous in the imperfections.
