Sometimes in life, there are things that are just beyond our control. And that can be hard to accept. But there is great power and peace in being able to discern what those things are and letting them go. This quote, by Tony Gaskins, reminds us to let go of the things we literally can’t do anything about. Otherwise, we become a prisoner to them. As conveyed in the definition of the word prisoner, not letting go of these things beyond our control can make us feel confined and trapped–paralyzed in a sense. But the sooner we discern and let go, the sooner we are free to do what we can do within our control to the best of our ability.
