When you make an investment, you put time, money, and other resources into something (or someone) with the hope of having some kind of reward, usually at a later date. You may invest in your education to advance your career. You may make a monetary investment in a business that has the potential to grow. Or, you may invest time and resources in your children to ensure their success as they get older.
The basic concept of investing is clear. However, as this anonymous quote reminds us, the same concept applies to our dreams. We can’t expect our dreams to come true if we don’t make any investment in them. Meanwhile, as with any other investment, we can’t expect our dreams to come true right away. The reward may come at a later date. But not without first investing in them.
