This quote, by John Powell, reminds us to see mistakes as learning opportunities. In fact, the biggest mistake is not learning from a mistake.
Imagine the person you would be today if none of your past mistakes had taught you a single thing. You most likely wouldn’t have experienced as much growth and maturity. Moreover, you’d most likely make the same mistakes again. Even basic reading and math skills would not have been fully acquired if you hadn’t learned from mistakes made early on in school.
So let’s not allow shame and regret to overshadow the things you could learn from your mistakes. The more you learn from your mistakes the more valuable they become and the less they can be called a mistake.
