“No matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow.”
This quote is pulled from a longer quote by Maya Angelou where she lists some of the things she’s learned in life. She starts by saying, “I’ve learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow”.
The fact that life goes on no matter what happens or how bad things seem today is true. It’s irrefutable that even after the worse day ever, there’ll be another day thereafter…and then another. So yes, life does go on–no matter what.
Whether or not things will be better tomorrow is the part we can’t be so sure about.
Sometimes it’s hard to imagine that being possible. However, the sure fact that life goes on should make the thought of things being better more conceivable. With time, a situation may change or improve for the better. And if it doesn’t, we may learn, grow, and find better ways to cope. And if that doesn’t happen, the pain or sadness we feel usually lessens. The bottom line is that things can be better as a result of so many factors that are either serendipitous or of our own will simply because life goes on.
