Living Life Poetically: The Fact of the Matter
There isn’t really much to say to introduce the poem, “The fact of the Matter.” I wrote it during a couple moments of reflection. It’s a poem about life, and it’s about things having a way of working out.
So if something is the matter, remember the fact of the matter: Nothing lasts forever. Eventually, the darkness will pass, because the sun always rises.
The Fact of the Matter

The fact of the matter is
Sadness, it may come and go.
Things don’t always happen as planned.
And the future, who can ever know?
The fact of the matter is,
The sun, it always rises,
Nevertheless.
And the darkness, it minimizes. Always, it minimizes.
Until darkness destroyed.
Not for long
The sun, does it ever rest.
Not for long
The darkness, does it ever stay.
