Step 1: Motivation. Step 2: Climb

    March 18, 2019 /

Talking about addressing our emotional, physical, and spiritual wellbeing without discussing Motivation would be a big miss. It’s like saying how food is cooked without mentioning any source of heat. Or explaining how a bowling ball hits a strike without saying anything about it being pushed by someone or something. Or how about this illustration: Imagine being stuck in a deep dark hole. There’s no ladder in sight and it seems like there’s no way out. But there is a way out. It so happens that certain actions result in a rung of a ladder to appear. With each action, another step is formed, enabling you to not only climb…

Developing Life Goals: Set, Plan, Execute, Track

    March 13, 2019 /

From improving our health to advancing in our career, strengthening our faith, or just doing whatever it is we’ve been putting off, there are many apps out there for productivity and time management. They make it easier to actually do the things we say we’ll do…tomorrow. Goals Wizard by Brian Tracy is one of them them. For each goal you set, you dive deep with a questionnaire that explores why you really want to accomplish it and obstacles standing in the way. You can set a target date and benchmarks, fill in to-do lists with one-time and recurring activities. Furthermore, it enables you to edit a built-in calendar that can…

    New Beginnings

    March 11, 2019 /

There is something exciting and nerve-racking about beginnings. Whether it’s the beginning of a new chapter in your life, job, responsibility, or simply your day. So to mark the beginning of PositLive, it’s only fitting that the first blog post expresses these contradicting emotions. Bringing hope, positivity, and joy to even one person out there is truly exciting. But honestly, I’m a little nervous. Having doubts during new beginnings is normal. But don’t be so scared that you never even start. From a baby learning to walk to a person’s first day at a new employer, having a little trepidation is a natural response to the unknown. One step forward…

About Me

Hi! My name is Esthella, creator and author of PositLive. I am a curious life-long learner, chocolate addict, coffee and tea lover, and foodie. I enjoy writing, music, and art, as well as good books, coffee shops, libraries, spending time with friends and family, conversations, and deep thoughts…I’m talking deep. However, my serious side is rivaled by a fun and sometimes silly side; and a conversation about the meaning of life can easily transition to the latest episode of some ridiculous tv-show or something else not so serious.

I consider it somewhat of a blessing that life has given me plenty of lemons. On the bright side, I’ve had to make plenty of lemonade while gaining perspective and appreciation for three critical areas of well-being: Mind, Body, and Soul. In sharing my thoughts and insights in these areas, I genuinely hope to help you live life positively.

PositLive is like my lemonade stand. I have made plenty of lemonade that I want to share. This site is here for you to retreat to whenever you need your daily serving of something sweet in the midst of life’s sour challenges, difficulties, and setbacks, which we all experience from time to time. So take a sip. Read, reflect, and restore.
